Pseudomyrmecinae

There is only one genus of Psuedomyrmecinae in Australia - Tetraponera - and this contains only five described species and subspecies. Their distinguishing features are their long, slender bodies and large oval eyes.

They are rarely seen on the ground, preferring to forage in shrubs and trees, where they nest in hollow branches.

I have only found one example of Pseudomyrmecinae.
